A Texas police officer and three dispatchers have been fired for their role in the egging of a man's house in Carrollton, Texas. The home of Steven Benzer was pelted with eggs, purportedly in response to complaints he had filed against a female neighbor. That neighbor is a friend of Carrollton Police Officer Jennifer Cackler.
Officer Cackler was off-duty at the time of the May 9 incident. She, and dispatchers Laura Anderson, Ashley Cackler and Laken Schifelbein, were terminated after an internal investigation. No charges have been filed to date, though the act is considered misdemeanor criminal mischief.
